Amber Lauryn Morgan, whose kindness and determination inspired all, tragically departed this life on June 1, 2024, at the age of 26 years old.

Amber's passion for basketball began at age 3 and deepened in the Municipal Gardens youth league. Her skills helped lead her New Augusta Middle School team to an undefeated record for two seasons. Amber later played for Pike High School, Lawrence North High School, and AAU travel teams, creating joyful road trip memories filled with laughter and family bonding.

Guided by deep faith, Amber was baptized in Jesus' name at the age of 12 at Kingdom Apostolic Ministries. An active participant in Sunday school, "Heiress" girls group, scouts, and children’s choir at Kingdom Apostolic Ministries, she delighted in the gospel teachings and music that shaped her values.

Amber attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology on a full basketball scholarship. She made her mark as a student-athlete while emerging as a leader in the business school through roles in the business lab and as a Salesforce ambassador, graduating with honors in just three years.

Though accomplished, Amber remained down-to-earth and deeply cherished her family. After graduating, she returned to Indianapolis to be present for her siblings John II, Miles, and Jade's life events, just as they had always supported her.
Amber found joy in cooking family recipes alongside her grandmothers and great-grandmother, savoring the warmth of those shared moments.

Amber found her greatest happiness in becoming a mother to her adored daughter Audri, which she described as "the best job in the world." Her love and devotion to Audri was evident in every moment they shared during their 5 weeks together.

Amber's compassion extended to her career nurturing young minds as an Indiana Teaching Fellow and passionate kindergarten teacher. She found purpose in education, coaching, entrepreneurship, real estate, and her active church role, living enthusiastically and optimistically to uplift others.

Though taken from us too soon, Amber's vibrant spirit and legacy of inspiring kindness, faith, and drive will be cherished eternally by her daughter Audri, parents Starla (Matt) and Corey (Kyli), siblings, beloved dog Nala, students, colleagues, and the extended family and friends whose lives she impacted so profoundly.
